There was 600 camps at Burning Man 2012, this is the story of one of them
About the Movie
The annual Burning Man festival is one of the most infamous gatherings in the world. The GlamCocks are one of 600 camps that form to run the city…and certainly one of the gayest. This heart-warming documentary follows the group setting up camp, building their structures and exploring the art (not to mention each other). From wild parties to life-affirming experiences, “Meet The GlamCocks” gives you an insiders view into a week at the world’s most epic festival.
Meet the Glamcocks has been selected for the 2013 Sydney Mardi Gras Film Festival.
Vincent Rommelaere is a 32 year old French-Australian who moved to Sydney in 2005 from France where he studied advertising and art direction. As the Creative Director of his video production company Wallaby Way, Vincent blends 10 years of advertising agency experience with his passion for cinematography and creating unique, powerful and engaging video content. His work ranges from online web series reaching over 1.5 million views on Youtube to hype reels for global brands as well as event coverage, short documentaries, and music videos. Vincent’s 2012 Burning Man highlights video has already had over a quarter of a million views on YouTube since its release in September. ‘Meet the Glamcocks’ is Vincent’s first feature length documentary that he produced, shot and edited from his experience during the 2012 Burning Man Festival in the Nevada desert.
“In stark contrast to many documentaries that deal with an aspect of the gay experience, Meet the GlamCocks is a refreshing celebration of positivism.” Exclaim. Read the full review
